SASSA Card and Bank Account
The South African Social Security Agency has alternatively advised those who are eligible of bank accounts to rather use their personal bank accounts to receive their payments and collection. This is the most convenient way for the department to distribute payments and collections.
Just some tip and advise, if you are going to register for SASSA grants using you own bank account, please ensure that you are not receiving any money from other sources on this bank account.
The issue is, there are so many people who have been declined on the status to receive the SASSA payments although they really need this support.
Some of these people have bank accounts that they might have relatives using them to send money for other reasons not related to their personal income.
For successful SASSA status to approval, the department conducts investigation up to a level of bank account to ensure that you are not receiving any income.
Although these has really had a very bad and negative impact to those who where not aware and used bank accounts that have been receiving funds elsewhere for other reasons.
Conclusion
Please note that there are other alternative methods of payment for SASSA payments, you can use the following merchants, Boxer, Shoprite, Pick n’ Pay, and Usave.
Alternatively, you can use your personal bank account which is more convenient to receive you payments.
