The Victoria & Alfred (V&A) Waterfront is located in Cape Town and overlooks the Atlantic Ocean, Table Bay Harbour, the City of Cape Town, and Table Mountain. The facility was designed by Adrian van der Vyver.
The 123 hectares (300 acres) property has been built for mixed-use, featuring both residential and commercial real estate. It is located in South Africa's oldest operational harbour.
More than 23 million people visit the Waterfront each year.
Over 450 retail stores are housed in the complex, ranging from fashion, homeware, and curios to jewelry, leather goods, and audio-visual equipment.
The V&A Waterfront is still an operating waterfront, with fishing boats bringing in fresh fish and tugboats bringing in larger cargo ships.
